The Original Seed Raising Block Premium Coir Seed Raising Mix is a concentrated mix of 100% organic and biodegradable coir husk coco peat specially formulated for high water retention and aeration to promote rapid seed germination. Ideal renewable substitute for mined peat moss. GARDEN USES- Sowing Seeds in the Garden: Never plant seeds too deeply. Very fine seed should be left uncovered. Fine seed should be barely covered. Larger seed should be sown no deeper than twice its diameter. Make shallow furrows in the soil and then place half an inch of hydrated mix in the base of the furrows and water. Sow seeds as directed and firm down gently. Water sparingly until germination occurs. Sowing Seeds in Containers: Fill containers with hydrated mix and a recommended fertilized. Level and firm down gently. Water evenly and allow to drain. Place seeds thinly and evenly. Place a sheet of glass or clear polythene over the top and maintain temperature by locating in good but indirect sunlight. Remove cover when seeds start to germinate. Cuttings: Fill containers as described above and make holes in mix with the end of a pencil. Push cuttings into holes, then firm gently and water.
